** Ensure the valve tip is engaged in the catheter valve or the clamp is closed before spiking the vacuum bottle seal otherwise the vacuum will be lost. Do not drain more than 1000mL of fluid from chest or 2000mL of fluid from abdomen at any one time. Keep the PleurX Catheter valve and the access tip on the drainage line clean and keep them away from other objects to avoid contamination.
